What we account for in Turkey
KVKK is the local equivalent of GDPR. Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 has been in force since 2016 and requires consent for processing personal data, including non-essential cookies: analytics, advertising, personalisation. A cookie policy and explicit consent are needed - technically the same as for the EU, but the documents must reference KVKK.
Domain. The .com.tr zone requires proof of entitlement to the name, so many businesses take .com instead - worth settling before launch rather than after the site has been indexed.
